We need to see the following documentation at the time of hire:
- Driving licence:
- Drivers must be between the ages of 23 - 75 years, a regular driver and in good health. Age restrictions apply as follows:
- Drivers of 7.5 ton vehicles must have passed their driving test prior to January 1997. Drivers who have passed their driving test since January 1997 are NOT eligible and are required to be in possession of an HGV license.
- UK residents without UK passports may drive on non-UK driving licenses for up to one year from commencement of residency. A Passport is required for proof of entry date. After this date a UK driving licence will be required.
- Drivers with foreign driving licences must present their own national license plus an International Driving Licence.
- Hirers aged between 23 and 24 must have held their driving licence for 2 years and endorsed licences will be individually considered.
- Hirers aged 25 and over must have held their licence for 1 year and endorsed licences will be individually considered.
A current full driving licence must be produced by all hirers at the commencement of each and every hire. Hirers with the new photocard licence must also produce the counterpart endorsement sheet, which forms part of the licence.

- Identification:
- UK photocard Drivers Licence - photo and address
- Passport - Photo
- Utility bill from the last three months - address
- Bank statement from the last three months - address
We will need to see 2 forms of ID. 1 with a photo and one that shows your address. The following forms are acceptable:
- Credit Debit Card:
We will use this card to take your deposit from and to refund your deposit back at the end of your hire. We are sometimes able to take other forms of deposit, please discuss with our team if this is your preference. Standard deposits are £250.00 however this amount may vary if you have endorsements on your licence.
- Insurance:
As the hirer you are fully covered on insurance. Excess on all vehicles is a maximum of £1000 although typically excesses are £750 if you have no endorsements on your licence. Overhead damage has an additional excess to cover public liability insurance resulting from damage caused to bridges etc.
- Miscellaneous Information:
Additional driver's can be added at no additional charge. We will need ID as listed above for this.
Our hire period is 24 hours. We endeavour to be flexible with pick up and delivery where ever possible. Please discuss your needs with our team.
Extension of hire is not always possible. Please call us as soon as possible to discuss availability to extend your hire and to make the necessary additional payment to extend your insurance.
On a daily basis the hirer is responsible for checking oil and water levels, along with tyre pressures.
Finally in the event of a breakdown, all our vehicles have recovery and homestart facilities to get you back up and running.
